Patpong Dangerous: an Art Exhibition

In December of 2020, during a brief respite from Covid lockdowns, this intrepid gogo fly held an exhibition of artwork called “Patpong Dangerous,” so named because I used dancers from that redlight as models, and because they went on display in Patpong’s gallery, The Candle Light Studio. Since there were no tourists in-country, and many people were afraid to venture out of their homes, and I’m a total unknown in the art world as well as the regular world, only around 10 people came to the show, and that’s counting four friends and the photographer. Today, these works are stored in or near the Patpong Museum, with some on display, mostly near the coffee shop, but for your bemused perusal (bemusal for short, copyright BKK7) I offer them here as a jpeg gallery. These pics will look best if you view them on a laptop:

Above are my first round of my Rorschach series. They’re pretty self-explanatory. From left to right, that’s Mew from Glamour, Bum from Electric Blue, Kukkik from The Strip, and Oil, Ploy, and Taitle from Electric blue

That motif morphed into the color Rorschach series. This is Poy and Praew from King’s Castle, Baifern from Pink Panther, and Kik from XXX Lounge.

Bow from The Strip, Bum from Electric Blue, Mew from Glamour, and Poy from King’s.

Kik from XXX Lounge, Poy from King’s Castle, and Praew, Poy, and Ice also from King’s.

Miw from Kiss Bar, Momay from XXX, and (I cheated with ) Aussie from Soi 6, Pattaya.

Mo, Uiy, and Nan from XXX Lounge, and Ice from King’s.

Woont from King’s, Poy and Mo from XXX, and Mint from Black Pagoda.

Both of these are of Earn, from XXX Lounge. The one on the right was sold to the owner of the Patpong Museum and is on display there.

Praew and Poy from King’s Castle, and Bum and Oil from Electric Blue.

These are drawing’s of back tattoos. On the left is Luktal’s tattoo in pastels and ink, formerly of Bada Bing. On the right is Praew’s tattoo in watercolor and pencil. She dances at King’s Castle.

The above four are charcoal and watercolor drawings of girls from Krabi, where I lived from 2010 to 2012.

Many of these works will be on display (and for sale) in XXX Lounge, Patpong starting on Gallery Night: 11 November, 2022. Come on by and check out the show.
